Actors: why bother.

Gwyneth Paltrow had some advice for “Two Lovers” costar Joaquin Phoenix as he transitions into hip-hop artist:

“I think that there might be some other explanation or something going on. I’m not quite sure what, but I can’t believe that he’s really going to quit [acting] forever to become a rapper,” she told MTV UK during a promotional junket for Two Lovers. “It seems odd.” When asked what advice she has for her costar, who also appears in Two Lovers, she replied,“Hmm … maybe to go live in the projects for a few years to get some authenticity, maybe.”Paltrow’s comments come on the heels of Joaquin’s latest rap performance in Miami. He was heckled by a fan and leaped into the audience to fight, all while being filmed by brother-in-law Casey Affleck. TMZ reported it was likely a hoax. The hoax question is not new and cropped up widely after Joaquin’s shambolic Letterman appearance.

My Opinion regarding the Intelligence of Actors is not too flattering to say the least; but Paltrow’s comments fit the mold, doesn’t it!  : )

Now don’t get me wrong, Joaquin Phoenix’s behavior as of late is bizarre, goofy, and smacks of HEAVY DRUG USE <g>.  Paltrow merely ogles your typical actor’s degree of intelligence by saying that Phoenix needs to go live in the Projects to get a real sense of Rap Music.  : )

The more I think about it, maybe were I an Actor and had to listen to other actors ‘talk’ and note their thinking (?): hell, maybe I’d  ‘Wig Out’ too!   : )

Check out Phoenix’s BEHAVIOR on Letterman:
